"Mieville," IN: A Caledonian JourneyApril 6, 2009, Blog post by Kathy Jameson. One of the earliest references we have been able to find that documents the earliest days of Mieville. SL Caledon resident Kathy Jameson provided coverage of her own early explorations of Mieville, including many photos in the two posts she published. Kathy's post focuses mostly on Doyle, which she said was the most complete sim at the time. She includes many photos of Doyle including the building that still stands today as the Awl & Sundry Coffee and Tea Shoppe; also photos of Twain's Brewery and Wells's Roman pavilion garden; Wells is today called Mieville Lakes. (Kathy identified the Wells garden photo as being in Verne.)

"Mieville Part 1", IN: A Caledonian Journey, Sept. 2011Blog post by Kathy Jameson. Once again Kathy Jameson provided coverage of early Mieville sims, including photos. In this post Kathy describes her visits to Mieville Lovelace, the original Poe, Doyle, the original Verne, and Wells (now called Mieville Lakes). (Both the Poe and Verne sims were discontinued and disappeared until years later when two new sims were given these names and new locations within the Mieville microcontinent.)

"Mieville Part 2", IN: A Caledonian Journey, Sept. 20, 2011Blog post by Kathy Jameson. Includes coverage and photos of Mieville Kipling, Twain, Stevenson (later discontinued), and Shelley. Kathy's photos of old Kipling, Stevenson and Shelley are particularly important as they document sites and structures that no longer exist.

Historical Hunts, Ltd., July 2010-June 2023. Defunct blog focused on Mieville's major Historical Hunts with photos of Hunt gifts offered by merchants. The HHL Blog begins by publicizing the 3rd iteration of STEAM that would take place in Sept. 2010. Thus this blog is an amazing archive of almost all of Mieville's Historical Hunts through Aug. 2022. In Sept. 2022 blog owner W. Dryke left Mieville, blocking subsequent Mieville use of the Blog and later posting a statement on the blog (under someone else's name) that "Mieville died." However, contrary to that opinion, Perryn himself wished Mieville to continue and took concrete steps to ensure that. Mieville community members have worked diligently to honor Perryn's wishes. Requests for the post to be taken down have been ignored. Past contributors to this defunct blog included JoseDiego Silverspar, Breezy Carver, XMarieX Fairpoint, Sere Timeless, and Meadow Copperfield.

Mieville Events, circa 2014. This defunct site described Mieville, its Hunts and activities planned for 2014, includes a map, and links to the Historical Hunts, Ltd. Blog and the Mieville Messenger. Weebly website by W. Dryke.

Remembering Tai'lahr Winnikow (blog post), Second Life Newser, Oct. 21, 2019. Post by Bixyl Shuftan. Tai' was an extremely generous, kind, and gifted creator, scripter, designer, game creator, and all-round reliable and irreplaceable Mieville volunteer providing ample assistance for MHH Hunts.

STEAM Hunt, Sept. 2010 (Blog post), Oct. 3, 2010, by Cathy L. Anderson. Blogger Cathy L. Anderson provides coverage of her participation in an early STEAM Hunt, Sept. 2010. Her photo documents that the Steampunk Information Centre looks almost identical to today's building; a glimpse of the interior shows the walls and hung portraits were also in place same as today. We can also see STEAM hunt tracks in evidence, along with large STEAM posters outside the building.

STEAM: Steampunk Travelers Event Adventure & Megahunt, Sept. - Oct. 2009. Lists participating shops and SLurls for the first STEAM Hunt, Sept. 2009. Indicates it is not the "official" Hunt site but one put together by anonymous hunters for hunters as the official blog site "chose not to offer any helpful information." Authors unknown.
