Welcome! Mieville Historical Hunts has a new blog!

Ever wish there was someplace to read all about it, hear little stories, updates, etc?

Here it is... featuring a variety of stories and information regarding Mieville Historical Hunts, regions, and maybe some fun blasts from the past!

But, first we must start with the beginning, or as many of you know... this is the middle, there is the past, and the future... and we are in the middle.

Mieville has a magnificent past, built from the dreams of a few and grown into a loving, friendly, and beautiful community of people who love the intricate tales of Steampunk, Victorian history, and various other stories new and old. Love to live amongst the dreams built throughout Second Life, and most importantly, built right at home in the beautiful Mieville regions. Yet we cannot forget the magic that is Mieville, the community, the heart that beats strongly and supportively, this is a community where they love each other, and support each other in their dreams and endeavors, even when those adventures take them far away from us.

No past is free of trauma, free from loss or sad news. The past builds the future we live in, the middle, where we are now, is the path to that future. It cannot go on without an important message, shared from our hearts.

"A message regarding Mieville...

Hello and welcome, friends, family, and visitors from all the places!

We bring forth a sad message, one that tears at every heart in Mieville and so many throughout Second Life. Our Mayor, Perryn Peterson, Mieville's decades long Mayor, has been missing since June. No one has had any way to reach him in RL, we have had no word.

My heart breaks to think what may have happened to him, and many of us still hold out hope that he will return to us, be well, healthy, alive.

If he cannot return to us, our prayers are that he has taken a wild adventure on a fancy windlass... Captain amongst the Aeronauts, explorer of the skies and stars alike!"

-------------------------------------

May the stars envelope and bedazzle those that go before us, may they find the glowing orbs of fire to be the shining guidance in the dark, may the stars hold their memories that we may forever look upon them from our quiet windows in the cool night air.

----------------------------------

Perryn Peterson demonstrated levels of patience that were simply godlike. He easily navigated various needs amongst the group, supportive, talked to everyone, and sought out the wonderful additions to the family as he built his community.

We all knew him for his wonderfully simple outfits, fashioned from the original designs in Second Life, and fitting into the themes of the Victorian period with ease. By design, he wore boxes of pictures or words to themed events. As opposed to implied, it was always undeniable he knew the theme. In his simplicity of outfits and avatar, he was regal and yet easily approachable. In every thing he did, he considered options, focused on building Mieville and creating a strong knit community.

In this way, we cannot see Mieville die, cannot see it fall apart. His dream will live on in all of us, and we will continue to grow, as he would have asked us. We still hope that he will return, we will keep the candle lit, the lighthouse on, and the seat he sat in open.

We are not alone, we are not without structure, and we shall not fail to provide the residents and merchants with hope. We will continue events, hunts, and a future that we can all be proud of, that we built, together. Our admin team will ensure our future and we are working closely with LL to ensure that our home is safe.

I am Annakari Dragonsworn, and this adventure is supervised by a few of us... over time, I hope that you will get to meet all the team. Join us in our story, come along into the future where we will stave off the end with sticks and stones if we must, but the end shall not conquer us!
